Booking procedure

Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday. Outside the main holiday periods mid-week or short breaks can usually be arranged. It is not necessary for you to fill all the beds in the property, the price is for the Holiday Home not per person.

When we receive your booking form we will contact you confirming your booking details, as well as requesting a deposit for your booking. Provisional bookings will only be held for 4 days pending receipt of your deposit. The balance of your holiday should reach us 6 weeks before you start your holiday.


The £200 booking deposit is non-returnable, unless in the unlikely scenario Newquay Holiday Home are not able to fulfil the booking we will offer a full refund.

Balance of payment

Once a booking is confirmed by Newquay Holiday Home, the Guest is responsible for the balance of the cost of the holiday together with a refundable Good Housekeeping bond of £200 which shall be paid 6 weeks before your holiday starts. There will be a charge for losses, breakages and if necessary (extra) cleaning. Therefore we require a Good Housekeeping bond of £200 which will be refunded within 48 hours of the end of end of your holiday. If excessive cleaning is required, damage or loss exceeds the £200 bond you will be charged the difference.

Non-payment of balance

Newquay Holiday Home reserves the right to re-let any holiday where the balance outstanding is more than 1 week in arrears (5 weeks before your holiday). However if we are unable to re-let the holiday you will remain liable for the outstanding balance.

Last minute bookings

Bookings made less than 6 weeks before the starting date of the holiday should be accompanied by the full payment.

Arriving & Departing

In order that your accommodation can be properly prepared, it is important that you do not arrive before 3.00pm and that you depart by 10:00am. These timings can be relaxed during low season.

Under 25's and Furry Friends

Unfortunately we cannot accept any groups under 25 years of age.

We do welcome owners with a pet dog. We do not charge extra. We just ask that In the interest of future guests comfort and enjoyment of the cottage, we respectfully request the following;

  • Dogs should not be left alone in the Holiday Home.

  • Please use cleaning equipment provided if your dog has been having muddy or sandy adventures.

  • Please ensure that your furry friend does not have access to the bedrooms, and uses the throw provided for the sofa

  • Please ensure that you clear up any dog mess left in the garden area.

Accommodation becoming unavailable

In the event of the accommodation becoming unavailable (e.g. through fire or natural disaster), Newquay Holiday Home will endeavour to provide suitable alternative accommodation or will refund all monies paid.



The proprietors cannot accept responsibility or liability for any personal injury sustained, or damage or loss of property brought to the premises. This also includes any vehicles parked in the area. We strongly advise customers to take out their own holiday insurance to cover cancellation of booking, as once confirmed, no refunds are repaid. Customers are legally responsible for payment in full.



In the event of cancellation by the holidaymaker and it not covered by their insurance, Newquay Holiday Home will endeavour to re-let the accommodation, and if successful the balance of the cost will not be due, or if already paid, will be refunded. However the deposit is retained.


Damage and breakages

The holidaymaker shall keep the holiday accommodation and all furniture, fixtures, fittings and effects in or on the holiday accommodation in the same state of repair as at the commencement of the holiday, and shall leave the holiday accommodation in the same state of cleanliness and general order in which it was found. The Holidaymaker must report and pay to the Owner the cost of any damage or breakages made during their holiday occupancy which may bed deducted from their £200 good housekeeping deposit


Breaking the terms and conditions

The Holidaymakers rights to occupy the property may be forfeited without compensation if: (a) More people or pets than specified on the Booking Form and/or the number the property holds, attempt to take up occupation. (b) Overnight guests are entertained without the Owners express permission. (c) Any activity is undertaken which may cause unreasonable damage, noise or disturbance. (d) If you wish to bring your dog on holiday with​ you, then please contact us via bookings@newquayholidayhome.co.uk


In the event of there being cause for complaint concerning a property, the matter should be taken up with the owner at once. It is important that this is done whilst you are still at the property so that an on-the-spot investigation can be made if necessary and remedial action taken if required. In no circumstances will compensation be made for complaints raised after the tenancy has ended when the Tenant has denied the Owner the opportunity of investigating the complaint and endeavouring to put matters right during the tenancy.


Access by the owner

The Property Owner or his representative shall be allowed access to the holiday accommodation at any reasonable time during any holiday occupancy.



Newquay Holiday Home has a no smoking policy.

Personal injury

Newquay Holiday Home accepts no responsibility for personal injury to Guests, or loss of or damage to their property, or for other matters over which Newquay Holiday Home has no control. Holiday tenancy: This agreement is made on the basis that Newquay Holiday Home is to be occupied by the Tenant for a holiday as mentioned in the Housing Act 1988 Schedule 1 paragraph 9 and the Tenant acknowledges that the tenancy granted by this agreement is not an assured tenancy and that no statutory periodic tenancy will arise when it ends.
